It is a fact that Google and other search engines value content. This concept can be frustrating, as filling up some sites with content is not really natural, necessary, or valuable to the end user. Of course, in many cases it is very valuable, but there are only so many leather buying guides I want to see when I’m shopping for a wallet; it gets overdone really quickly. The fact is that content needs to be continually added to any site that needs to rank. So here are some basic ideas for how to incorporate continuous content into your site.

1. Blogs- A blog is not necessary for every site, but if you can incorporate a blog into your format, why not? Linking the blog from your homepage as well as spotlighting the most current articles on the homepage is key. Do not be intimidated about blogging, you would be surprised at the ideas you can come up with.

2. Article collections- You can choose to use these articles as resources on your webpage. Be sure categorize them using your keywords and update them continually.

3. User generated content: You can use customer testimonials, customer reviews (dangle the opportunity for a coupon in return), customer suggestions or a top 5 customer list.

4. Related companies, with a blurb about them, using affiliate links potentially to generate some other revenue.

If you try any of these simple strategies, you will increase the value of your site in Google’s eyes, while creating more interesting content for your end user.
